A large proportion of OCEL’s work is undertaken for contractors ranging from local through national to international contractors engaged in civil, marine and subsea contracting. Many of these associations have a long history extending the length of the OCEL director’s working lives. OCEL prides itself on the longevity of these long term associations. In some cases OCEL now works for the sons of the founder of the contractor.
The temporary works range from normal construction aids and temporary works – sheet piling, formwork – through to temporary port and wharf structures such as the Oteranga Bay wharf structure built to bring wind turbines ashore for the Wellington West Wind project.
